HJA bring you this exceptional WRX Spec C fresh in from Japan. It doesn’t get much better than this, Grade 4, no accident history with genuine kilometres from new never seen the harsh UK winters. As there are limited numbers produced this really is one for the avid car collector.

Our specialist team hand picks the highest quality vehicles available throughout the globe. So when they came across this they immediately informed us this is one to get! In spite of all the top end dealers in Japan trying to get hold of the car, we were fortunate enough to be able to secure and bring it over to the U.K.

First impressions the bodywork is in excellent condition, garaged all of its life and constantly pampered. It really has been cherished by its owner in Japan. The famous world rally blue paintwork still has that showroom gloss. It has all the original panels and being a Grade 4 it has no repair history, it’s rare to find an original straight example such as this.

The interior is in immaculate condition from the seats to all the trim, dash this really is a testament to how well this example has been looked after.

As you would expect from a Impreza of this standard it drives beautifully the engine pulls boisterously throughout the rev range without any hesitation; Gearbox changes are nice and fluent. There are no knocks or rattles from the suspension this really is a joy to drive.

Extra info
The WRX Type RA STi was dropped for a new WRX STi Spec C. This model was much lighter than the WRX Type RA as it received lighter glass and body panels. The Spec C's handling was much improved due to an increase in caster (from 3.5 degrees to 5 degrees). This was achieved not by changing the suspension mounting point, but by lengthening the wheelbase (15 mm). This was done by including different control arms. This increased caster significantly helped the turn-in capabilities of the car. The Spec C also has a steering rack ratio of 13:1. The transmission is supplied with its own oil cooler and intercooler water splay with 12 litre tank in the boot.

The WRX STI Spec C's receives the Arai tuned dampers and a 21 mm (0.8 in) swaybar. The rear suspension is changed from rubber bushings to pillowball bushings. The strut tower was further stiffened for improved handling and stability. The strut towers were reinforced for better handling and better ride characteristics. The engine mounts were changed from metal to liquid-filled plastic mounts to reduce vibrations into the car's cabin.

The DCCD is updated with the use of a torque-sensing mechanism inside the DCCD. The torque split is changed to 41/59.

The WRX STI Spec C was used for Group N homologation.
