HJA bring you an exceptional Nismo R1 R33 GT-R V-Spec just landed from Japan. It doesn’t get much better than this fully built by none other than Nismo Omori Factory Japan with fully documented service history. We believe this is the only Omori Factory R1 R33 GTR currently for sale anywhere in the world.

As the some of the 44 produced R33 GTR Nismo 400R’s are now fetching upwards of £250K this really is a great alternative and built to the same high standards by Nismo. As demand for Nismo built vehicles is soaring we believe this would be a great investment opportunity as they will soon be legal in the US.

When the vehicle arrived at Nismo’s plant in Yokohama Japan the full catalogue was thrown at this amazing GTR. First on the list was to take out the engine and replace it with the highly sort after Nismo R1 power plant this is not just a simple engine swap as you can see from the engine specification below Nismo modified everything for fast street response and durability.

As you can see from the work done the owner had the Nismo 400R model very close to his mind so he instructed Nismo not only to modified the mechanical side they also fitted Nismo rear bumper, Nismo 400R rear arch extensions, Nismo 400R Carbon rear diffuser along with the highly sort after Nismo 400R rear carbon twin spoiler blades which really is a work of art.

This GTR has a real presence and in our view is one of the best looking R33 GTR’s we’ve come across in a while. The bodywork is in stunning condition has an amazing gloss to the paintwork it is extremely rare to see a beautiful example like this. It benefits from a number of exterior aftermarket parts most noticeable the highly sought after Bronze 18” Volk Racing TE37 wheels, the super rare 400R carbon spoiler blades finished off with the Nismo rear bumper and Nismo 400R carbon rear diffuser which is a work of art. A Carbon fibre Shift Sports bonnet as well N1 ducts in the front bumper gives it a more aggressive front end as well as helping with the cooling. Another great point to highlight is that only 670 R33 GTR’s were ever made in the super glossy KN6 dark grey pearl which makes them rare and highly collectable.

In excellent condition throughout the driver and passenger reclining Recaro seats are not only extremely comfortable and supportive but really match the rest of the interior and make an excellent upgrade over the stock seats.

Test Drive
As you would expect from a GTR of this standard it drives beautifully, oil pressure is healthy 6 bar cold start and 2.5bar hot idle and runs silky smooth. Engine running temperatures always perfect and the engine runs like a dream with no over fuel when on boost.

The iconic RB26 engine pulls very hard throughout the rev range without any hesitation. You can really feel the response from the Nismo built engine, it produces low down grunt but continuously pulls throughout the rev range thanks to the specially designed R1 twin turbo’s. Clutch and gearbox are very easy to use for road use, gearbox is smooth and fluent.

R1 turbo kit
This kit is based on the N1 model with metal internals (instead of ceramic). Made by Garrett, they develop slightly more turbo-lag in favor of higher durability. However, Nismo took things a step further in developing the R1 kit and fitted the N1 base model with higher capacity ball bearings and reinforced actuator attachments to create an even more durable set-up.
