First impressions the bodywork is practically flawless, garaged all of its life and constantly pampered. It really has been cherished by its owner in Japan. It has all the original panels and being a Grade 4 it has no repair history, it’s rare to find an original straight example such as this as so many have been abused.

Interior is outstanding, completely stock. It retains the original factory steering wheel/gear knob, gaiters and mats. A Defi boost gauge has been fitted to monitor boost pressure.

It’s not just exceptionally clean on top, underneath is also completely rust free and the chassis rails have not been dented by incorrect jacking as seen with so many (just check out the pics!)

WRX STI Type R Version 5 info:
The engine is a red top unit - factory blueprinted & endowed with stronger internals with a higher 8,000 rpm rev limit. Packing a 280+ bhp punch as standard.

Water jets are fitted above the intercooler & these can be operated automatically or at the touch of a button from a button to the right of the steering wheel. The steering rack is quick geared for less turns from lock to lock, as engineered by Subaru Technica International. 4 Piston front brake calipers give excellent braking performance, as required. Further improvements from Subaru includes Sti carbon fibre front strut brace & an uprated intercooler - with a separate water tank to feed water spray onto the intercooler, either in Auto or manual mode.

The gearbox is a close ratio unit with an adjustable centre differential, geared for maximum speed of 155 mph at the red line. The electronically adjustable centre differential allows any range between a fully locked (For very slippery conditions such as snow) all the way to 70% rear and 30% front bias allowing understeer to be dialed out and for power oversteer to be supplied as required.

The STi 5 Type R is also distinguishable by it's updated vented bonnet, facelift front bumper, clear front headlights, light green tint on windows, large rear spoiler with updated and the red and white rear lights. The Sti 5 interior is also of a brighter design than previous versions, with embossed front seats, brushed dark alloy facia around the dials and a Momo SRS steering wheel. Note that creature comforts are included such as (Facelift facia) climate control A/C, electric colour coded mirrors with electric retract mode, central locking, electric windows, power steering, optional fitted floor mats, privacy glass in the rear, rear wiper, original option wind deflectors and more!
