HJA bring you an exceptional R34 GT-R just landed from Japan. It doesn’t get much better than this. Fully built by none other than Nismo Omori Factory Japan with fully documented history, this has to be one of the best all round road going R34’s currently for sale.

Brief History:
The owner in Japan was a true Nismo fanatic, so in Feb 2008 he sent his R34 for a full Nismo S1 conversion. After enjoying the S1 package for a number of years in 2012 he was informed about the Nismo R2 engine and chassis package which was going to be used in the Clubman Spec R34 GT-R to mark Nismo’s 30th Anniversary. So in Jan 2012 he handed the keys back to Nismo to install the highly acclaimed R2 engine package.

In the engine room Nismo practically threw their entire catalogue at the R2, and the result is nothing short of exquisite. Nismo prefer fine tuning and balance over high hp engines, especially when it comes to the R2 engine. Thanks to an N1-base block built up with Nismo goodies. Nismo R1 turbo’s supply 1.2-bar (17.6psi) boost, and to this Omori Factory have added an R35 injector setup to boost mid-range response and cut on emissions.

In the mix is also one of the most sought-after Super GT inspired parts: the Nismo GT intake plenum, which goes a long way in equalizing the volume of air headed into each cylinder for optimal combustion.

While Nismo won’t disclose any actual figures, it’s safe to say that with the modern additions, like the R35 injectors and retuned ECU this GTR should easily develop 500hp.

To meet that power Omori Factory has sat the factory Getrag six-speed gearbox on a set of stiffer transmission mounts and added in a Nismo Copper Mix twin-plate clutch. This works hand in hand with Öhlins DFV adjustable suspension and a full line-up of Nismo links and firmer sway bars.

Exterior & Interior:
Ok that’s enough spec for now, let’s talk general condition of the car. First impressions the bodywork is practically flawless, Garaged all of its life and never used in the rain, it really has been cherished by its owner in Japan.

Our specialist team only hand pick the highest quality GT-R’s, so when they came across this they immediately informed us we have to get this at all cost, it’s one of the cleanest and best spec R34’s they have seen in a number of years!

Despite of all the top end GTR dealers in Japan trying to get hold of the car, we were very fortunate enough to be able to secure the R34 and bring it over to the U.K.

Interior is outstanding, completely stock apart from the addition of a Nismo shift knob. It retains the original factory steering wheel and gaiters not to mention the factory fresh Nissan mats and Stereo.

It’s not just clean on top; underneath is exceptionally clean also completely rust free and the chassis rails have not been dented by incorrect jacking as seen with so many. When the car was at Nismo it had all the sub frames/suspension arms..etc fully overhauled so the chassis literally looks like it’s driven out of the factory.

Test Drive
As you would expect from a GTR of this standard it drives beautifully, oil pressure is healthy 6 bar cold start and 2.5bar hot idle and runs silky smooth. Engine running temperatures always perfect and the engine runs like a dream with no over fuel when on boost.

The iconic RB26 engine pulls very hard throughout the rev range without any hesitation. You can really feel the response from the Nismo built engine, it produces low down grunt but continuously pulls throughout the rev range thanks to the specially designed R2 camshafts. Clutch and gearbox are very easy to use for road use, gearbox is smooth and fluent.

Brakes and Handling
Well what can I say Nismo carried out there chassis package which includes the monster R35 GTR front and rear Brembo brakes. These were designed to slow down the heavier R35 GTR and arguably one of the quickest cars out there. So the rest assured these brakes on this 34 will bring you to a standstill from virtually any speed in no time at all. Handling is firm perfect for road use as this was the main goal to keep the car road friendly.

Another pleasant point to mention it also had a valid shaken before it left Japan; this means the car had passed the stringent Japanese testing which is a real testament to how well it has been maintained.

The R34 GT-R is now extremely sought after worldwide, and is considered the next big thing in the burgeoning classic and performance car market.
